Angela served as a child abuse pediatrician at the Child Protection Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin from 1991-2008. As part of a multidisciplinary team, she assessed and treated possible child victims of abuse and neglect as well as addressed the medical needs of youth entering foster care. She provided trainings and court testimony to the Milwaukee and other Wisconsin communities on physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect and the effects of maltreatment on the developing brain. Angela has worked with elected and non-elected officials to improve the child welfare system and was appointed to the 2000 Wisconsin State’s Task Force on Healthcare for Children in Out of Home Care. She co-founded a supervised visitation and parenting program of children in foster care and has served on numerous boards of nonprofit agencies that promote the well-being of children. Angela graduated from St. Louis University with a B.A. in Chemistry and received her MD from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. She is married to David and they have two children, Anna and Gina. Angela serves as Executive Director for Fostering Hope Foundation.
