Catania leads efforts to support the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families across the region. With more than 25 years of experience in serving youth and families, she has dedicated her career to strengthening systems, building partnerships, and advancing research-informed, favorable outcomes for youth and families.
Throughout her career, Catania has worked across a range of settings, including child placement agencies, TESSA’s Safehouse program, Health Care Policy and Financing, the Division of Youth Services, and county child protection. She is known for her collaborative leadership and her commitment to improving how communities serve and support vulnerable children and families.
She has served on the Fostering Hope Local Board since 2022 and is now part of the inaugural Colorado Springs Board, bringing valuable continuity and leadership to Fostering Hope’s growth in the region.
Catania believes leadership is rooted in integrity and thoughtfulness. She is passionate about influencing and empowering the next generation of leaders.
She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies, and a Master of Arts in Human Services & Mental Health.
Catania and her husband are Colorado Springs natives, where they raised their children, who are now adults. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially gathering to laugh, listen to music, and enjoy the arts together.
