Former Financial Representative, Northwestern Mutual
Mike has been a dedicated community leader and supporter of children and families in Colorado Springs for more than two decades. Originally from Elmira, New York, Mike moved to Colorado Springs with his wife, Christy, in 1977 while working for Ethan Allen Furniture. He later spent 41 years with Northwestern Mutual, building lasting relationships through a career centered on trust, service, and financial guidance before retiring recently from the company.
Mike has been deeply involved in the Colorado Springs community through both philanthropy and volunteer leadership. He and Christy have long supported the Humane Society and served for several years as cochairs of the organization’s annual Fur Ball fundraiser.
Mike’s longest-standing community involvement has been with the Colarelli family and Fostering Hope, where he has served as a board member for more than 20 years. His deep commitment to supporting children and families, along with decades of leadership and relationship-building experience, bring valuable perspective and continuity to Fostering Hope’s mission.
Mike and Christy have been married since 1968 and are proud parents of three children and grandparents to four grandchildren.
